It is incredibly important that everybody take time to re-charge their batteries. Sunday used to be that day but, for many, Sunday is being squeezed out. However, it is still necessary for our health and well-being to take a break. Science knows this and there are many reports in the public domain that you can read. You don’t have to take my word for it. But then you knew this already…….
So the aim in my life is to:
- take one rest day per week
- take a holiday from work two times a year
- take a longer holiday every 15 to 20 years
So this year, I am taking a 6 month ” sabbatical” this year. My husband and I are going to British Columbia, Canada, a place which we have fallen in love with.
Not everyone can take the opportunity I have this year. But you must ensure you take a break on a regular basis – for your physical, mental, spiritual well-being. Start planning now.
