Lessons from the older generation: We will always give something of ourselves.

Senior citizens have lessons to teach us about life – if we will only listen.  Here are a couple more.

Lesson Four: In every face to face encounter, regardless of how brief, we leave something behind.

How we treat people will always leave an impression.

What impression do you want them to walk away with?

It is not very often that you will hear about the effect you have on a person.  However, you will know of someone who had a profound influence on you.

Have you told them how much they mean to you?  There is no time like the present.

Lesson Five: Happiness is like perfume, you can’t give it away without getting a little on yourself.

That’s the wonderful thing about happiness – you will receive in exact proportion to what you give.   So don’t hold back.

About katehobbs

Mother to two who are now independant and living away from home. Wife to Steve, for the last 26yrs and looking forward to many more years. I have enjoyed 18 months in the Okanagan, something that I have longed to have the opportunity to do for a while. Living a dream, you could say. Now, I am interning with Living Waters Canada based in Vancouver until end of April 2013. I love to grow my own food - it tastes so much better. I also build up, train and encourage others to achieve more than they thought possible.
